About the facility
Femtonics develops valuable accessories and material for researchers, who works at the field of Neuroscience and Pharmacology. This is a very limited and particular market. We are able to do unique measurements for the Net and its members. After a concrete agreement we can provide usage of our systems. We can collaborate with some of the members, who have the same skills in research and development. We can give advice and help for the future’s company, how to make work a spin-off company like ours in connection with every days tasks and operation.
This Research Infrastructure makes possible two-photon measurements (for example Ca2+ imaging) along 3D trajectories in about a 600 x 600 x 25 µm3 volume with a 150 to 690 Hz measurement speed These measurements can be combined with multiple channel electro-physiological recording. It also makes possible fast two-photon measurements and two-photon photochemical stimulation along lines, curves, points or along the combination of these. We combine these measurements with multiple channel electro-physiological recording
